DIGESTIVE +

For gastrointestinal health support

Complementary feed to optimize the balance of gut microbiota and the digestive function of dogs and cats. It helps in the symptomatic management of mild intestinal disorders of punctual, recurrent or chronic nature.

The gastrointestinal tract is a complex ecosystem that is supported by three pillars: the intestinal mucosa, the microbiota and the immune system linked to the digestive system.

DIGESTIVE+ is formulated with a unique mixture of pre- and probiotics, plants and mushrooms that allows to:

· Promote healthy intestinal microbiota.
· Create physical competition against pathogens and allergens.
· Maintain the integrity of the gastrointestinal mucosa.
· Optimize digestion and absorption of nutrients.
· Provide nutrients: electrolytes, amino acids, vitamins…

HOW DOES IT WORK?

Live microorganisms that, when administered in adequate amount,
confer health benefits, especially in the digestive system.

  • Balances intestinal microbiota: Helps maintain a healthy balance between beneficial and harmful bacteria in the gut, through competitive exclusion mechanism (competition for nutrients, adhesion sites, and the production of antimicrobial substances).
  • Balances intestinal pH: Helps maintain a balanced and stable intestinal pH, which is essential for digestive health and infection prevention.
  • Improves digestion: It can help break down food more efficiently, facilitating digestion and absorption of essential nutrients.
  • Strengthens the immune system: A large part of the immune system is located in the intestine. Probiotics strengthen the intestinal barrier, increasing the production of antibodies and immune cells.
  • Anti-inflammaotry: It can help reduce inflammation in the digestive tract.
  • Produces short-chain fatty acids: It can synthesize vitamins such as vitamin K and group B vitamins, and produce short-chain fatty acids that are beneficial for intestinal health.

Type of non-digestible carbohydrate, classified as soluble fiber and
prebiotics.

  • Balances intestinal microbiota: They promote the growth and activity of beneficial bacteria in the gut, such as those of the Bifidobacterium and Lactobacillus genus. This helps maintain a healthy balance of the intestinal microbiota.
  • Improves intestinal transit: Being soluble fiber, FOS increases the volume and water retention of feces, facilitating its passage through the intestine and helping to prevent both episodes of constipation and diarrhea.
  • Anti-inflammatory: They can help reduce inflammation in the digestive tract by promoting a healthy intestinal environment.
  • Produces short-chain fatty acids: Their fermentation by gut bacteria produces short-chain fatty acids (SCFA) such as butyrate, acetate and propionate. These SCFAs are important for intestinal health, as they provide energy to colon cells and have anti-inflammatory properties.
  • Strengthens the immune system: By promoting a healthy balance of the intestinal microbiota, FOS can strengthen the intestinal barrier and improve the body’s immune response.
  • Source of probiotics: Contains strains of beneficial microorganisms that can act as probiotics, helping to maintain a healthy balance of the intestinal microbiota and promoting healthy digestion.
  • Improves digestion: It can help break down food and facilitate the absorption of nutrients. Its natural enzymes and the presence of probiotics contribute to a more e]icient digestive process.
  • Strengthens the immune system: The cell walls of yeast contain mannanoligosaccharides (MOS) and beta-glucans that promote intestinal health and strengthen the body’s defenses against infections.
  • Balances intestinal pH: Helps maintain a balanced and stable intestinal pH, which is essential for digestive health and infection prevention.
  • Source of vitamins from B complex, proteins and minerals: Essential for good digestive and overall health. Additionally, probiotics can improve the absorption of these nutrients.
  • Carminative: Helps reduce gas formation and facilitates its expulsion, making it ideal for relieving flatulence problems.
  • Antispasmodic: Helps relax the smooth muscles of the intestine, which relieves spasms and abdominal pain associated with digestive disorders.
  • Improves digestion: Stimulates the production of gastric juices and bile, thus improving the digestive process and facilitating the absorption of nutrients.
  • Anti-inflammatory: Antioxidants and other compounds in fennel have anti-inflammatory properties that can help reduce inflammation in the digestive tract.
  • Antibacterial: Its antimicrobial properties can help fight infections in the digestive system, promoting a healthy balance of the intestinal microbiota.

relieves spasms and abdominal pain associated with digestive disorders.
  • Improves digestion: Stimulates the production of digestive juices and enzymes, thus improving the digestive process and facilitating the absorption of nutrients.
  • Anti-inflammatory: Antioxidants and other compounds in anise have antiinflammatory properties that can help reduce inflammation in the digestive tract.
  • Antibacterial: Its antimicrobial properties can help fight infections in the digestive system, promoting a healthy balance of the intestinal microbiota.
  • Protects gastric mucosa: It can help reduce acidity and promote the
healing of gastric ulcers by increasing the production of protective mucus
    in the stomach.

thus improving the digestive process and facilitating the absorption of
    nutrients.
  • Protects intestinal mucosa: The compounds present in licorice can help
protect and regenerate the intestinal mucosa.
